Michael Mustafa Takes Sales & Marketing Helm at Hilton Anaheim

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 18, 2012 – Accomplished hotel industry professional Michael J. Mustafa has recently joined the prestigious Hilton Anaheim as the director of Sales & Marketing for the property, which is the largest and most flexible hotel in the Los Angeles/Orange County region with 1,572 guestrooms and more than 140,000 square feet of meeting space.

 Mustafa most recently served as the director of Sales & Marketing at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa, which is managed by Remington Hotels.  Over his more than 25-year career, he honed his skills as the Sales & Marketing director for the Mobil Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort, The Westin South Coast Plaza, the Sheraton Gateway, Los Angeles Airport, and the Ontario Airport Marriott.

In 2007, he was named Sales Leader of the Year for all Starwood Hotels & Resorts. In 2004, he led the Hotel Sales Team of the Year for the Western Region for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and in 1998 was named Sales Leader of the Year for Interstate Hotels.  He is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College of Rensselaer, Indiana. His past times include spending time with his children and playing golf.

Hilton Anaheim Supports 2012 London Olympic Hopeful Ciara Short!

As many may, or may not know Hilton Worldwide has been a proud sponsor of the Olympics for many years. Interestingly enough, Hilton Anaheim was built in 1984 especially for the Los Angeles Olympics to accommodate the tens of thousands of fans that would make their way to Southern California. As such, Hilton always creates unique opportunities to help our future Olympians succeed in their goals both at the games and during their journey to becoming Olympic contenders.  Hilton Anaheim is proud to announce that it has been able to join this initiative by bringing on board one of Southern California’s most promising Track stars, Ciara Short. This Cal State Fullerton Track powerhouse is currently part of the Hilton Anaheim Guest Services team where she’s polishing her public speaking skills with our guests before heading off to London. Short was born and raised in Southern California and never even thought about Track and Field until she was nineteen-years-old when her basketball coach urged her to try out for the University’s Track team. Now 23 and a seasoned competitor (She represented team USA in the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara), Ciara is confident as she embarks on her biggest journey, the Olympic trials June 21-July 1 in Track Town USA in Eugene, Oregon. There Ciara will be going up against her idols Allyson Felix and Sonia Richards, two extraordinary athletes that have now become part of the fuel that feeds her desire to qualify for “The Show” at the 2012 London Olympics.   When asked what she takes away from her experience on the track, Short responded by saying, “The level of determination, patience, focus and confidence that comes with pushing yourself to the breaking point on a mental, physical and emotional level in this sport will be present within me no matter where I go and I couldn’t be more thankful for these invaluable tools.” Join us in wishing Ciara the best of luck in her journey. Hilton Anaheim Decrees Orange County Moms to Be “Queen Mums” for Mother’s Day

Traditions from Merry Olde England and the U.S. Highlight Moms’ Special Day

 ANAHEIM, Calif. – April 18, 2012 – Mothers may just think they’ve crossed the Pond to merry olde England when they arrive at Hilton Anaheim for a truly unique Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch, Sunday, May 13, served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. that promises to be as entertaining as it is scrumptious.  For reservations, visit the dining section of the Hilton Anaheim website to book your reservation via OpenTable.com. The cost is $49 per guest with complimentary valet parking.

With all of the royal appointments in place, the majestic experience will begin when mothers arriving at the hotel are heralded by trumpets and escorted down a red carpet by royal palace guards through the main lobby entrance. During this magnificent procession, each royal guest will receive a long-stemmed rose as a token of love and appreciation.

 

The centerpiece of this majestic event is a custom-built royal throne fit for a queen that will be in place in the lobby, where it will serve as a regal stage for moms and their families to enjoy a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity. Once seated on her throne, each mom will be asked to don a bejeweled crown and hold a scepter to complete the sovereign setting.

In keeping with the royal theme, the exquisite brunch will feature traditional items like honey baked ham with crusty brown sugar glaze, as well as some of the Queen’s favorites, including Quiche and scones.  There will also be a children’s menu.

Prizes will be awarded for the best Fascinators (hats) worn by the moms between noon and 3 p.m. Three drawings will be held for complimentary stays at La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, the Arizona Biltmore, and Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.

After brunch, guests will be invited to enjoy a complimentary ride in an authentic horse-drawn carriage where they can enjoy the romantic sound of clip-clopping hooves on the pavement as the carriage glides along Convention Way not far from Orange County’s beloved Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Disneyland Resort.

Hilton Anaheim launches the Suite Slumber contest on Facebook with weekly opportunities for couples or families to win a personalized stay in a luxury suite worth approximately $1,000.
